About the Magic
The Mid-Atlantic Magic Girls Basketball Association was created to take the focus away from the normal politics of AAU, and instead, place the emphasis back where it belongs, on the girls and the game of basketball.
In our inaugural season of 2008, we featured four teams at ages 9-13. In 2010, we expanded and added a 12-13 Regional Team and a 14U team. In 2018, we will continue to grow, with the reintroduction of our sophomore showcase team, one strong team at each grade level from 4th - 7th grade, and two teams at 8th and 9th grade, a showcase team and regional team at each. At the younger ages, our goal is to create teams that will be competitive at the Regional and National levels, while at older ages, ensure that players receive college exposure as they advance through the program. Each Mid-Atlantic Magic team will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Qualifying tournament, and then at the National Championship Tournament where applicable. Teams not qualifying for National Tournaments are expected to compete in Junior Nationals or Exposure events.
